Workshops

Fighting for Life Academy

The Fighting for Life Academy is a series of workshops designed to build to leaders in our communities. Participants learn about the different issues in our communities and where they stem from. The workshops range from learning about health impacts due to polluting facilities, key decision making players, and where it all starts. Participants become equipped the knowledge and skills to advocate for the change they want to see in their communities.

The last day of the academy is a graduation celebration where people who attended all six workshops receive a certificate of completion. Pictured above is the class of 2019.

Even in the midst of a pandemic we still have to keep fighting against the injustices in our communities. 2020’s FFLA academy, for the first time, was done virtually.
